This year’s “Copyright Development Awards” honored 30 individuals for their contributions across various areas, namely, policy (13 individuals), investigation and enforcement (10 individuals), overseas copyright protection (1 individual), industrial development (3 individuals), technological development (1 individual), cultural services and trade (1 individual), and international cooperation (1 individual). The award was established in recognition of the contributions of experts in various fields to domestic copyright protection and development, while also promoting public awareness of copyright.

▵In the policy field, recognition was given to the following individuals for their notable contributions: Kim Geuntae, Head of the Strategic Planning Team at KCC; Han Hyowon, Deputy Director at KCC; Lee Sangyoon, Manager at KCC; Myung Soojong, Manager at KCC; Jeon Hyeonsoo, Manager at KCC; Shim Jiho, Manager at KCOPA; Lee Gyuhong, Chief Judge of the High Court at the Judicial Policy Research Institute; Yoon Youngsun, Professor at Hannam University; Kim Jongwon, Professor at Sangmyung University; Kim Jiyoon, Professor at Hongik University; Park Jihwan, Attorney at Law at INNO LEGAL; Lee Seulgi, Copyright Education Instructor; and Kwak Junhyeon, Teacher at Seoul Geowon Elementary School. ▵In the investigation and enforcement field, recognition was awarded to the following individuals for their notable contributions: Choi Jaewoo, a senior officer at KCOPA; Lee Nara, a senior officer at KCOPA; Min Eunsik, a prosecutor at the Daejeon District Prosecutors’ Office; Lee Seongbok, an assistant prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office; Yang Hyunjeong, an assistant prosecutor at the Gwangju District Prosecutors’ Office; Jung Beomseok, a superintendent at the National Police Agency; Lee Seung-ho, a senior inspector at the National Police Agency; Noh Byungheon, an inspector at the National Police Agency; Lee Hojun, head of the legal affairs office at Kakao Entertainment; and Tony Tran, head of the investigation division at the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Korea Branch. ▵An award was presented to Kim Jisoo, a chief at KCOPA in the overseas copyright protection field. ▵In the industrial development field, honorees included Kim Mindeulae, a manager at the Korea Culture Information Service Agency; Kim Minyoung, a senior officer at KCC; and Kim Junghee, a manager at the Korea Creative Content Agency. ▵Cha Youngjun, a manager at KCC, was presented an award in the technology development field. ▵Lee Yongkwan, director of the Korean Wave Economic Research Center at the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute, was presented an award in the cultural services and trade field. ▵Finally, Lee Ahram, a senior officer at KCC, received an award in the international cooperation field.
